Stationary Power Tools-As the name implies stationary power tools are tools that are intended not to move. That has changed sine the introduction of Delta’s mobile bases. Almost any tool under 400 pounds can now be put on a mobile base and moved about the shop. Unisaws, contractor’s saws, planers, jointers, shapers, sanders, any tool that has a stand can become mobile with the use of a mobile base. The exception to that rule would be such things as drill presses. This is due to their high center of gravity.
