Stern Forstner Bits- In 1919 Michael Strasek introduced the trademark "Stern". In 1958 carbide tools were introduced into production of the company. In 1966 a second plant was established with the most up-to-date equipment. In 1975 numerical control was introduced, and exports were shipped to over 45 countries. 1999 saw the companies 80th Anniversary

You get high performance stagger tooth design on all larger diameter bits (over 1" or 25mm) for clean sharp holes with straight sides and flat bottoms. These bits are ideal for drill presses, electric and cordless drills.
