Porter-Cable Routers

Porter-Cable routers come in all shapes, sizes, and horse powers, Routers can be variable speed routers, or they can be mounted upside down in a router table. Porter-Cable routers that are table mounted offer a lot of safety features and protection that you can’t get from free hand routing. It is best to have at least two routers, one for free hand work and another for a router table. Variable speed routers are needed when using large profile bits. It is important to be able to slow the router down so as to not burn the stock you are cutting.
