DeWalt Metalworking Die & Straight Grinders

DeWalt Metalworking Die & Straight Grinders are tools designed to spin a grinding stone or sanding disk to remove material, usually metal, and finish a surface. The difference is mainly conceptual. Die grinders are often smaller tools, closer to a Dremel than a big honking 12-pound beastie. They can be used for fine work, and are often available in right-angle versions. The right-angle versions are important in surface work because they let you grind the face of the material - most grinders can only touch the inside or outside of a hollow shape, near a cut edge (usually to smooth the edge). An angle grinder lets you grind smooth a rough surface, such as to remove the weld buildup after welding.
