MVP Bands consists of two distinct metals. The tooth edge is made from a Cobalt? Molybdenum High-Speed High Speed Steel combination that is then electronically beam welded to a Tempered Alloy Steel Back. (Tooth hardness 66-68Rc) (Back hardness 47-51RC) Available in just three width and teeth per combinations-1/4" x 6 Hook, 3/8" x 4 Hook and 1/2" x 3 Hook in .025 gauge (Raker Set) these bands will cut through virtually any material including hardened and exotic steel (with speed reduction and coolant). MVP bands are the ultimate bands for those most difficult cutting applications. Cuts through nail imbedded wood. *MVP Hook Teeth: Wide gullets with a positive face angle and equally spaced teeth. Allows for coarse pitch on narrow bands Hook style teeth provide excellent chip evacuation in thicker wood, plywood and composition material along with faster cutting rate. On bandsaws equipped with speed reduction and coolant, the tool steel hook teeth cut non-ferrous and ferrous metals including alloy steel, carbon steel, tool steel, stainless steel, and air hardened die steels.
